1. Information we process
- Account information: your name, email address, protected password credentials, sessions and account recovery records.
- Personal study information: notes, bookmarks, highlights, reading history and prayer activity you choose to save. This content may reveal religious beliefs; avoid adding sensitive information you do not want stored.
- Research requests: questions, conversation context and relevant source excerpts when you use AI-assisted research.
- Purchase information: payment provider, transaction identifiers, subscription status, paid periods and refund or dispute records. Google Play purchase tokens are used to verify Android subscriptions. Payment providers handle full card or bank details; these are not stored in our application database.
- Technical information: IP address, browser or app details, request and security logs needed to operate and protect the service.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure your account, save your study, provide requested research, verify membership, process support requests, prevent abuse and meet applicable obligations. We do not sell personal information or use your study content for advertising.
3. Service providers and sharing
Infrastructure providers, including Railway, Supabase and Cloudflare, process information needed to host, store and deliver the service. Email providers process account and support messages. Payment providers, including Google Play for Android purchases and the provider selected at website checkout, process billing information under their own policies.
When you request AI-assisted research, your question, necessary conversation context and source excerpts are sent to the configured AI provider to generate an answer. Do not include sensitive personal information in research questions. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.
Providers may process information in countries other than yours. Applicable privacy protections and provider arrangements govern these transfers.
4. Cookies, local storage and security
We use essential session cookies and local storage for sign-in, preferences, onboarding and reading continuity. These are not advertising cookies. We use HTTPS, account access controls and protected server storage. No transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
5. Retention
Account and saved study information are generally retained while your account is active. On deletion, we remove your account and associated personal study records. Purchase, accounting, dispute and security records may be retained where needed for legal obligations, fraud prevention or unresolved claims. Backup copies may remain until their retention cycle expires and are not used to restore an active account without your request.
6. Your choices and account deletion
You can request access, correction or deletion of your information by contacting [email protected]. We may need to verify ownership before processing a request.
To delete your Versehaven account and associated study data, follow the instructions on our account deletion page. You can also use Delete account in the app. An active subscription is not required to request deletion. Deleting an account or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription; manage renewals with the provider that billed you.
7. Children
Versehaven is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where required.
8. Updates and contact
We will update this page when our practices change and provide additional notice where required. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].
